For too long this community has been let down. I will fight for you to deliver the change Hyndburn and Haslingden needs.
I’m Sarah Smith, and I am proud to be your Labour candidate in a place that is very special to my family. My husband is from Rishton, where his father served as the local vicar, and I was married here. I’ll be dedicated to improving youth services, enhancing life opportunities for young people, and tackling postcode inequalities. That will drive my dedication and service for our community. The character and friendliness of Hyndburn makes this place stand out, and I’m committed to bringing the positive changes that people here deserve.
Better Youth Services & Education

I want the next generation to have the best opportunities, so they can reach their full potential. I have a proven track record of delivering for young people. I will improve youth services and provision whilst fighting for more investment in education and schools.
Housing for all, housing that works

We all deserve secure, good quality, affordable homes. I will prioritise generating housing on brownfield sites. Regenerating existing stock, which helps cut bills and keep communities together. Housing should be in tune with the wants and needs of residents.
High Streets that prosper

We all know the value that prosperous high streets can add to communities. I will work with businesses to deliver real, tangible change in the local economy. There are many fantastic local businesses, I want to help unleash their full potential.
